LeonaLeona Louise Lewis (born 3 April 1985) is a British musician, singer, actress and activist. Her birthplace was in the London Borough Of Islington she went to the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, Croydon. Lewis received national recognition as she was selected for the third series on The X Factor 2006 and won a contract worth one million pounds through Syco music. The Kelly Clarkson cover"A Moment Like This" was her prize. The song racked up 50,000 digital downloads in less than 30 minutes and peaked at No. 1 for the duration of about four weeks. Clive Davis' label, J Records, signed Lewis to a deal for five albums in February 2007. Her success continued after she released her debut album Spirit (2007). It was certified platinum in the UK as the fourth highest-seller album of 2000. Spirit According to Official Charts Company is the greatest-selling debut album by a female singer. The album's lead track, "Bleeding Love", spent seven weeks at number top in UK and was also the top-selling single of the year 2007. In the US, it was the top-selling single in the year and Lewis was named Best New Artist by Billboard that same year. Echo was her second studio album. Lewis also composed the hit song "I Love You" for Avatar. Lewis also came out with "Collide" in 2011, as a collaborative effort in collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii. In addition, she dropped Hurt an EP that was her first extended performance. Her album Glassheart, her third studio effort, Glassheart (2012), marked a new creative direction for Lewis and her music, drawing the inspiration of dubstep and electronic music. She began to record material for her first Christmas album during her Glassheart Tour, which took during the middle of 2013. The Christmas album, with Love was released late in 2013. The album's opening track, One More Sleep, peaked at number 3 in the UK. The chart's top position resulted in Lewis the first British woman solo artist in the top fivespot, with eight songs. She also broke Olivia Newton-John's seven record.
